Wow! Term 4 already. Lots to look forward to as we transform the courtyard and pack in plenty of learning before the end of the year.
TERM 3 We learned so much about measuring liquids we were able to make some magic potions!

Many of the children in our room danced at the KidsCan concert. They had a fantastic time and represented their school proudly. Watch the links below and enjoy
We have been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. Room 12 are becoming experts at naming prisms and pyramids. We calculated the number of faces, edges (toothpicks) and corners (marshmallows) before making our shapes.
Yipee!! Our fantastic fence is finished. This week we helped Mr Davies to put it up alongside the other masterpieces at the bottom of the field.

In the last week of term we will be celebrating Matariki. On Thursday, the whole school will be celebrating with songs, dances, games and kite flying. You may wish to enter the Matariki Kite Making Competition. The kites can be entered into 'best flying' or 'best looking'. Below is a link to making a traditional Manu Tukutuku kite.
What talent musicians we are in Room 12! We wrote our own lyrics to make a song so we could pass on our ConservAthon message. Listen to it here.
What a lot of fun we had dressing up as NZ Falcons for the ConservAthon.
This term we will be busy designing and painting our fence palings to add to the Royal Oak Primary fence that will beautify the bottom of the field.
We are researching Kiwi Icons and what makes them important to New Zealand. Click the Buzzy Bee to read more about Kiwiana.

We have been looking at onomatopoeia and how it can make our writing more interesting. We are using Strip Design to illustrate some onomatopoeia words of our own.
